Summer Daze Online July 1 – 31, 2020 through the Lindsay Dirkx Brown Gallery, Brentwood. . This is the CWA’s first virtual art show.  The link is on CWA’s website and on San Ramon Community Center’s website. Two of my paintings are included, Tilden Park Poppies and Chance Encounter, an Honorable Mention Award winner:

Juror of Awards — Leslie Wilson, CWA. Leslie Wilson has provided a few words about each of the award winning paintings. About Chance Encounter by Jane Sneed she writes:

This painting is an intriguing collection of colors and values that tell a story of people in sidewalk scene. It is simple and spontaneous, and engages the viewer with a minimal approach — the small shapes depict people with just enough detail. The colors are pure and the shapes delight the viewer like none other.

Even though there are no real darks in this piece, the clever use of complementary colors keeps my eye moving around the painting. With just enough information and not one stroke too many, this is a perfectly balanced and charming composition.”
